The BORA X Pure Max is the largest cooktop in the BORA Pure family — a 5-zone surface induction hob with the downdraft extractor built into the centre of the glass. Four full-size 230 × 230 mm zones sit around the honeycomb air inlet, and a fifth full-size zone at the back turns the whole surface into one generous cooking area. For Irish families who cook big Sunday dinners or entertain regularly, it removes the compromise that a four-zone hob always imposed: enough room for the stock pot, the roasting tin and the pans at the same time, with no hood overhead.
At its heart is the same extraction principle that made BORA famous: vapours are drawn downward at the pan, before they rise, through a removable stainless steel grease filter. The X Pure Max is available in exhaust-air and recirculation versions, and in recirculation the BORA eSwap odour filter lasts up to 150 hours and swaps from above without removing a drawer or plinth. Control is through a central 5-inch xControl touchscreen, and for the first time BORA offers optional ring-shaped aluminium control knobs — a tactile alternative that lights white and red to show which zones are live. Eight BORA Assist functions (Fry, Boil, Melt, Keep Warm, Simmer, Pasta, Steam and Coffee) take care of temperature on Assist-compatible cookware.
The X Pure Max shares the 830 × 515 × 199 mm footprint of the X Pure, so it needs a 90 cm cabinet, a dedicated electrical circuit and either ducting to outside or a recirculation housing below. It comes in matt (Rough) or high-gloss glass ceramic. Savvy Kitchens plans all of this with your electrician and builder at the design stage, and our Thurles showroom lets you cook on a working BORA system before you commit.
5 Full-Size Cooking Zones — Four 230 × 230 mm surface induction zones plus a full-size fifth zone at the rear. The automatic bridging function joins front and back zones into one large area when a roasting pan or the BORA Grill Pan is placed across them.
Optional Control Knobs — A first for BORA: minimalist ring-shaped aluminium knobs that complement the touchscreen with tactile temperature control. Dynamic white and red lighting shows which cooking zones are active at a glance.
8 BORA Assist Functions — Fry, Boil, Melt, Keep Warm, Simmer, Pasta, Steam and Coffee run directly on the cooktop with Assist-compatible cookware, holding the right temperature so you can step away from the pan.

Full technical specification available on request.
The X Pure Max is a 90 cm system, so the first question is whether your island or run has the cabinet width and the depth below for the extractor unit. We check this against your kitchen drawings before you fall in love with it, and we advise on exhaust versus recirculation based on your house — modern airtight builds usually suit recirculation, while an existing duct run points to exhaust air.
In our Thurles showroom you can cook on a working BORA system, hear the extraction at each level and compare the Pure family side by side — S Pure, Pure, M Pure, X Pure and X Pure Max — to decide whether the fifth zone and the knobs are worth it for how you cook.
