    Quooker Kitchen Appliances — Ireland

    Netherlands · Boiling water taps

Quooker was founded in 1970 by Henri Peteri, a Dutch engineer who asked a simple question: why do we have to wait for water to boil? Over five decades of continuous refinement, that question produced the world's first and most refined boiling water tap — a product that has become standard in premium kitchens across Europe and is now one of the most requested appliances in Irish kitchen design.

The engineering behind Quooker is deceptively sophisticated. A vacuum-insulated tank beneath the worktop keeps water at 110°C using just 3 cent of electricity per day. When you activate the tap — via a childproof double-push-and-turn mechanism — the water drops to precisely 100°C as it passes through the spout. The insulated spout never becomes hot to touch. With the CUBE extension, the same tap delivers filtered chilled still and sparkling water.

For Irish homeowners, Quooker solves a genuinely practical problem: it eliminates the kettle, frees up worktop space, and provides instant boiling water for everything from tea and coffee to sterilising baby bottles and blanching vegetables. In a country that consumes more tea per capita than almost anywhere in the world, the appeal is obvious. It's one of the first appliances our clients mention when planning a new kitchen.

At Savvy Kitchens, we specify and install the full Quooker range — Fusion, Flex, Nordic, and Front series — along with PRO3, PRO7, COMBI tanks, and the CUBE unit. We help you choose the right tap model, finish, and tank size for your household, and our installation team handles all plumbing and electrical integration. Available finishes: Quooker taps are available in Chrome, Stainless Steel, Black, Gunmetal, Gold, Patinated Brass, Matte Black, and Nordic Matte — with most models offered across the full finish range. Visit our showroom to see finishes in person against your worktop and cabinet samples.

Why Specify Quooker Through Savvy Kitchens?

Every Quooker installation requires an under-counter tank (PRO3, PRO7, or COMBI), a dedicated 10-amp or 16-amp circuit depending on the tank, and appropriate plumbing connections. If you're adding the CUBE for chilled and sparkling water, a CO2 cylinder housing is also needed. Our team plans all of this during the kitchen design phase, not as an afterthought.

In our showroom, you can operate every Quooker tap model — Fusion, Flex, Nordic, and Front — in round and square profiles, and see all available finishes against different worktop materials. Choosing the right Quooker is as much about the tap's visual presence in your kitchen as it is about functionality, and that's best judged in person.

We also guide you through the tank options. A PRO3 suits most households; a PRO7 is better for larger families or those who use boiling water frequently; the COMBI replaces your under-sink hot water supply entirely, potentially simplifying your plumbing arrangement and saving space.
