A Quooker costs considerably more than a standard kitchen tap. We break down what you actually get for that investment — and whether it makes sense for an Irish home.
A Quooker costs considerably more than a standard kitchen mixer tap. Depending on the model and tank configuration, you're looking at €1,200 to €2,500 installed. Is it worth it? For most of our clients, the answer is an emphatic yes — but it depends on how you use your kitchen.
What You Actually Get
A Quooker delivers 100°C boiling water instantly — no waiting, no kettle. With the CUBE extension, it also provides filtered chilled and sparkling water. That means one tap replaces a kettle, a water filter jug, and a SodaStream. The counter space you save alone is significant.
Running Costs
The Quooker tank uses approximately 3 cent of electricity per day to keep water at boiling point. That's roughly €11 per year. Compare that to boiling a full kettle three or four times a day and the running cost difference is negligible — the Quooker may even be cheaper.
Once you've had a Quooker, going back to a kettle feels like going back to a flip phone.
Our Recommendation
If you're investing in a premium kitchen, a Quooker is one of the most-used features our clients report. It's not a luxury — it's a genuine improvement to daily life. We recommend the Fusion model for most kitchens, and the Flex for those who want a pull-out spray function.
